How We Brought a Student’s Mural to the Wilmington Skyline

Last painted in the 1990s, Delmarva Power’s natural gas storage tank has been repainted with an inspiring new mural by John Dickinson High School student Samuel Bufano. Through our eco-art contest, high school students in New Castle County submitted environmentally focused artwork to compete for a chance to show their vision of eco-art to the City of Wilmington and I-95 travelers. The first portion of the mural was placed on the storage tank this past summer and the rest will be completed next year.

The storage tank helps us provide more than 134,000 customers in New Castle County, Del., with reliable service during the coldest days of the year.
